Bryant & Leah
We are so excited for the adoption journey and truly appreciate that you are reading our profile. We have so much love, family, and joy to share and know we will be excellent parents. We hope that you consider us and if you choose us to be the parents of your child we would be thrilled!
Our Pet

We adopted our dog, Mera, from a local pitbull shelter in 2019. We both grew up with dogs and the dogs we had were a favorite part of our childhood. Getting a dog was top priority when we moved in together and Mera has been a great addition. She loves kids and is incredibly smart. We have gone above and beyond to make sure she is trained and well-behaved in any situation.

Mera is about 9 years old now but still loves to run around and play. Her absolute favorite thing to do is sleep next to her humans or out in the sun. We also have a lot of neighborhood cats but due to Leah's allergy cannot bring any home. Dogs are integral to our home - they are loving, comforting, and joyful. We believe that having a dog in the home is incredibly important not only to us but to everyone who comes into our home.
What it Means to Be Parents

To us, being a parent means creating a safe, loving, and welcoming home where children and their friends feel secure. We look forward to sharing our interests—from mountain trips and snowboarding to inspiring an appreciation for animals—and encouraging confidence in whatever activities they enjoy, whether it’s sports, arts, or science.
Being Southern California residents, we know that our location offers a wide range of experiences, including beaches, snow, museums, and sporting events. The region provides numerous opportunities for children, and the possibilities for activities are extensive; we cannot wait to share them with a child.
We also understand that being a parent requires patience, adaptability, and a commitment to guiding children through both joyful and challenging moments. Our hope is to be role models who offer steady support, set healthy boundaries, and nurture curiosity and growth each day. Above all, we believe in fostering open communication and building a foundation of trust, so our children feel valued and heard as they explore the world.
Education We will Provide
Education has always been a cornerstone in both of our families, deeply valued and prioritized throughout our upbringing. While neither of us found traditional school particularly enjoyable, our passion for learning was ever-present. The education we envision for your child will be fully immersive, blending academic excellence with hands-on experiences. We recognize the importance of strong schools, and we’re fortunate to live in an area with good schools. However, we also understand that some of the most meaningful learning happens outside the classroom. Whether it’s taking a stroll through Huntington Gardens to discover the wonders of plant life and environmental stewardship or visiting local museums to engage with history and culture firsthand, we strive to create opportunities for your child to learn in dynamic, real-world settings. Leah’s childhood was filled with creative writing classes, reading programs, and storytelling activities. Bryant, on the other hand, spent time drawing nurturing his creative side and learning to see the world through an artist’s lens. We firmly believe that creativity is just as vital to a child’s development as academic achievement. By encouraging artistic pursuits, imaginative play, and critical thinking, we hope to inspire your child to become a well-rounded individual who is confident, curious, and eager to learn.

Our Extended Families

Both of our families have experience with adoption and are incredibly supportive of our journey.
Bryant's family lives locally (within an hours drive) or in Texas while Leah's family is almost completely within a 30 minute drive. Leah's extended family tries to meet at least once a month with all of the family which ends up being approximately 50 people catching up. Her cousins have always been close and three were even bridesmaids in their wedding.

Bryant's mom is one of six and her family loves to have pool parties and are huge sports fans. A USC game or Dodgers game with Bryants family is an extravaganza to be seen. Somehow both events end up in Karaoke.
Your child would quickly be integrated in not only our huge extended families but our intermediate families as well.
Your child would have so many people to call on for love and support for everything to dance parties to any problem big or small!
Our House and Neighborhood

Our Southern California community is close-knit and lively, hosting events like Soapbox Derbies, holiday celebrations, and an annual town Carnival that bring neighbors together. Leah’s deep local roots provide a strong sense of belonging, and many families have lived here for generations, sharing a commitment to preserving the area's heritage. The town and it's residents are active in conservation efforts for local trails and mountains, and the neighborhood features parks and landmarks for outdoor recreation. Families enjoy things like regular library programs, sports leagues, playgrounds, and community centers. The town has a lot of wild life visitors but particularly clings to its bears and has included it into the town story.

We live in a comfortable three-bedroom, two-bathroom home on a quiet cul-de-sac where children play safely. Our backyard is a gathering spot for friends and family. Although we don’t have a pool, Leah’s parents and brother live nearby and have pools, so swimming is a regular part of our family life. Our neighbors throw a block party every year to connect with each other. We truly love our house and neighborhood.
From Us to You

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us and review our profile. We cannot imagine how difficult and confusing a decision like this must be for you. We promise to provide your child with a safe, loving, compassionate home.
Since we started dating in 2015, we knew that we wanted to have a family and that the only path for that would be adoption. Both of us have family members who have adopted, so we do not have any trepidations about our commitment to this journey. We have been married since 2019 and both come from large families with many living close with a helping hand. We both love to travel whether it’s a weekend snowboard trip to the local mountains or traveling to other continents. Leah has been to almost all fifty states and Bryant has been to over ten countries. We look forward to sharing our love of travel with your child and know he or she will have the opportunity to see the world and all the wonders it has to offer. When we are not traveling, we are mostly working, but also spending time with family, friends and hobbies - Bryant enjoys golf and I like to bake.
In addition to a loving, safe and nurturing environment, we believe a child is owed stability - a confidence in place and parents that can be counted on to be there for all levels of support they need as the child negotiates what can be a rapidly changing and confusing world. We are perhaps somewhat older than some prospective candidates, but we know where we are in our careers, are financially stable and recognize that even though neither of us are perfect, we are completely committed to our relationship and our love for each other, with broader support from our wonderful extended families We believe our house should be the welcoming, comfortable place that our child’s friends will embrace as a place to play, grow and hangout. And for our child, we need always to be a stable, safe in every way and reliable support that is always there.
Bryant currently works in Business-to-Business sales for a large corporation and Leah works in human resources for a law firm. We both are lucky that our jobs provide us with flexibility as we need it. Our careers are important, but we have gotten to a point in life that we can readily balance the well-defined demands of our careers with a clear priority for family and home.
Thank you for this opportunity to provide a glimpse of who we are. In such a short piece it is difficult to convincingly assure you of our commitment to the happiness and success of your child. But that is our commitment. We know from our extended families that fulfilling that commitment is sometimes difficult - maybe more than sometimes. It requires significant compromise in other areas of our lives and skill sets that one can only hope to develop. So our commitment to you is to renew that promise to you every single day - sometimes easily and sometimes with more challenging pressures, but always with clarity, conviction and awareness that your very difficult decisions now is made in reliance on our fidelity to that promise for a very long time. We also promise to provide you with letters and photos / videos sent via email and mementos of their achievements as time goes on.
