Jason & Danielle
We are two soul mates navigating this beautiful life together! We have been best friends for almost 16 years (13 married). We have so much love in our hearts to share, and we get overjoyed at the thought of sharing our love with a little one. We believe adoption is a beautiful gift that we will treasure in our hearts forever. We are so appreciative that you are even reviewing our profile!
Our Family Traditions

We LOVE Christmas! It is our favorite time of year. Danielle decorates the whole house inside and out. We love visiting family and having Christmas dinner. As a child, Danielle used to love opening one Christmas present on Christmas Eve and leaving cookies and milk out for Santa, something we would carry on with our child. We also love going to Disney every year about two weeks before Christmas, it's the most magical place on earth at the most magical time of year. We get overjoyed thinking of sharing these experiences with our child!
During the summer, we go to the beach, usually Myrtle Beach or Folly Beach both in South Carolina. We love going together with family. We usually rent out a beach house through AirBNB and our families meet together. It's always a blast spending quality time with everyone. Board games at night, cook-outs, putt-putt golf, swimming and playing on the beach. We can't wait to share this with a little one of our own!
Our Leisure Time

We have many things we enjoy in our leisure time off. We are both a little nerdy so we do love playing and collecting retro video games, especially Nintendo and stuff from the 90s. We love retro game hunting at yard sales and game stores. We also love taking our dog to the dog park and going for walks at the many beautiful parks in our area, which is nestled in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains. We love traveling and we try to go to one new place that we have never been to at least once a year. Last year we went to Hawaii and the year before we went to Alaska. This year we are headed to Key West. We have one family beach vacation in the summer and our annual trip to Disney World at Christmas.
We also love going to the movies and Danielle always has to get popcorn and a drink. We love eating at local restaurants in our town as well. Danielle loves swimming at our local gym and occasionally shooting hoops on the basketball court. She loves basketball, she played from grade school through high school. We love going to see the Tarheels play basketball or the Vols play football.
Cultural Diversity
Danielle is Caucasian and Jason is from a mixed race family. His father is Caucasian and his mother is Korean. His dad met his mom while stationed in South Korea while in the Army.
Jason: My experience as a mixed race-child included both good and bad experiences. My parents were great and they supported me and provided me both council and love to navigate racial prejudice growing up. I experienced this unfortunately from both racial sides. I was never "white enough" to be accepted locally but I was never "Korean" or "Asian" because I was half-white. Over the years I've learned to love and appreciate my unique-self and as I grow older I am proud of both my heritages.
Our child will be loved and cherished for who they are. I want them to appreciate their cultural background and have a solid understanding of how it makes them unique. I also want to teach them to be empathetic towards others who may be different and learn to love and respect other individuals that will be different from them. We want to give them tools that they can use to navigate racial prejudice and injustices. Above all else, our family may look different and have been built different but we are a family and our love makes our house a home.

Our House and Neighborhood

We live in Tennessee in the beautiful Appalachian mountains. We live in a sweet little suburban neighborhood in a college town. We bought our home five years ago and just absolutely love it. It's our little peace of Heaven. Its a quaint little home in a charming neighborhood. We have the kindest neighbors and are frequently over visiting with them. We have four bedrooms, three upstairs and one downstairs. The downstairs bedroom is currently Danielle's office/guest room with a pull out bed. Our favorite room is the game room which is full of a collection of retro video games and collectables from our childhood.
Our neighborhood has many different families that live in it. During the fall, we have lots of children Trick-or-Treating during Halloween. During the summer there are kids playing basketball outside at the end of our cul-de-Sac. There is a state park about ten minutes from our house that has a swimming pool, dog park, and walking trails. There are many annual events held in downtown, which is about ten minutes away from our house. From Christmas parades to 4th of July fireworks, a fall Apple Festival and live music, there is always plenty of events locally for families and our local community.
Our Extended Families

Danielle is an only child and very close to her mother. Her mom was a single mother for a large portion of Danielle's childhood before she married Bruce (Danielle's step dad). Danielle's parents are very excited to becoming grandparents and they live close by and would be highly involved. Danielle's mom is retiring soon and lives nearby and would be able to help a lot with caring for our child.

Jason's parents live about 2 hours away and we visit frequently. His dad retired out of the Army after 24 years. Jason's parents are also excited to become grandparents. They are both retired and would be able to frequently help with our child as well. Jason is also close to his younger brother who we visit frequently. We also have very close friends. Our friend Andy has been around since college. He married his high school sweetheart and they have 2 children and 1 on the way, they live about 2 hours way and visit frequently.
We love doing holidays with both our families and friends; especially Christmas which is Danielle's favorite time of year. We love going on vacations with family and friends, especially Disney and going to the beach. We love just spending quality time with family and friends, whether that's going to dinner, watching movies, playing classic video games or game hunting (with his brother), or just laughing and spending time telling stories.
From Us to You

We want to thank you so much for taking the time to view our profile and getting to know a little bit about us! We know that this is a very difficult decision for you, and it is one that we do not take lightly. We are eternally grateful that you are considering our little family to raise your most precious gift.
We are Jason and Danielle. We have been married for 13 years and have been together almost 16 years. We have always wanted a family, but conceiving naturally has just not been a path we have been able to achieve. We have had many prayers and ultimately felt God was pushing us to the path of adoption. We are grateful for the journey, and trust in God's guidance.
For both of us, becoming parents is an extraordinary blessing and a dream of ours. We want you to know that any child that may come into our family will be loved with every fiber of our being. We are excited to make and share memories of ball games, family game nights, movie nights, and family vacations. Going to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas party with a little one, or seeing Jason teach them how to play Mario brings joy to our hearts. We will cherish Christmas mornings with a little one opening their anticipated presents from Santa, decorating their room, and just sharing all those little moments.
We also understand that parenthood is not an easy path, there many ups and downs, trials and tribulations, milestones and achievements. We feel that parenthood requires dedication, patience, empathy, compassion, and greatest of all, unconditional love. Being a parent is about being present in our child's life and wanting the very best for them.
We want our child to feel loved and cherished every day. We also understand being a parent means being there and guiding them through the good times and bad. Being a parent means providing a stable and loving home and helping them navigate this crazy wonderful life.
We can promise that our child would live in a home full of love and happiness and we will pour our heart and soul into loving them every single day. They will have a loving mom and dad, a puppy sister, as well as devoted grandparents on both sides, and friends we consider family. They will also be taught about their adoption and the special role of their birth mother.
If you want, we are committed to sharing letters and photos at least once a year or more frequently if you would like them. We also are open to scheduling annual visits and exchanging email/phone contact if you would like as well. My husband and I are best friends and soulmates.
As Christians, love is our greatest tenant and we want our child to know that they are loved, that they always have a safe place to come home to, and that our love for them is unconditional.
