Jason & Kendy

Thank you for taking the time to get to know our family. We know this may be one of the most meaningful and difficult seasons of your life, and we're honored you're considering us. Adoption forever changed our lives when our daughter, Frankie, joined our family. Becoming her parents has been the greatest joy we've ever known, and we would be honored to grow our family again through adoption, surrounding another child with unconditional love, laughter, encouragement, and unwavering support.

Why We Chose Adoption

Enjoying a Baseball Game Together

Our family has been shaped by adoption, and we couldn't be more grateful for that. Becoming Frankie's parents has been the greatest privilege of our lives. She has changed us in ways we never could have imagined and shown us that the best parts of parenting aren't the big milestones, they're the everyday moments spent learning, laughing, growing, and experiencing life together.

Enjoying Our Annual Apple Hill Tradition

Like many families, our journey to parenthood wasn't exactly what we expected. After years of infertility, surgeries, treatments, and heartbreaking losses, we found ourselves exploring adoption. Looking back now, it's impossible to imagine our story unfolding any other way. Adoption didn't simply help us become parents, it brought us Frankie, expanded our hearts, and introduced us to a community and journey that we feel incredibly honored to be part of.

Choosing adoption again feels incredibly natural to us because we've already experienced the joy of building our family this way. We understand that every adoption story is unique, and we'll always honor that. If you choose us, your child will grow up knowing how deeply they are loved, how important their story is, and how much respect and gratitude we have for the incredible people who helped shape it. We feel so fortunate to have the opportunity to grow our family through adoption once again.

Family Traditions

A Fun Day at the Pumpkin Patch

Traditions have always been one of the ways we stay connected to the people we love, and over the years we've blended traditions from both of our families while creating many of our own. Every fall, we make our annual trip to Apple Hill with Jason's family, a tradition that's become one of our favorite ways to welcome the changing seasons. Halloween is another favorite in our home. We decorate together, watch a Halloween movie every night leading up to October 31st, and visit our favorite local haunted house before taking Frankie trick-or-treating through the neighborhood.

The holidays are filled with meaningful traditions that celebrate our family's heritage. We make tamales and bunuelos together, celebrate Día de los Muertos by honoring loved ones who came before us, and order takeout from a different local restaurant every Thanksgiving. Christmas morning always begins with breakfast together before opening presents and spending the day with family. Some of our newest traditions have grown alongside Frankie. Weekends often include trips to the Zoo, cheering our local soccer team, tending to our garden, or simply enjoying time together in the backyard. We know traditions will continue to evolve as our family grows, and we look forward to creating new ones that become meaningful to all of us.

What Makes Us Unique

Our story began more than thirty years ago when we met in elementary school through a bilingual program. We grew up together, stayed connected over the years, and eventually built a life together rooted in friendship, trust, and shared values. Having known each other for nearly our entire lives has given us a relationship built on deep understanding, honest communication, and a genuine appreciation for one another.

Over the years, we've celebrated graduations, careers, marriage, travel, buying our first home, and, most importantly, becoming parents. We've also experienced challenges that strengthened us and reminded us that some of life's greatest gifts don't always arrive in the ways we expect. We think what makes us unique isn't just our story, it's the life we've built together. We value curiosity, lifelong learning, and creating a home where everyone feels safe to be themselves. Our home is filled with music, books, plants, family traditions, and people who genuinely enjoy spending time together. We hope to raise children who are kind, confident, and curious about the world around them. Above all, we want them to know they are deeply loved, encouraged to follow their own path, and always supported by the family and community surrounding them.

Our Extended Families

With Kendy's Mom

We are incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by a large, close-knit, and wonderfully diverse extended family. Many of our family members live just minutes away, with the rest only a short drive away, so spending time together is part of our everyday lives, not just reserved for holidays. We're equally lucky to have lifelong friends who have become family over the years. Family gatherings are filled with homemade meals, laughter, kids running around, and the kind of joyful chaos that makes everyone feel at home.

With Jason's Mom

Since welcoming Frankie into our family, those gatherings have become even more special. She is surrounded by grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and lifelong family friends who absolutely adore her. Whether we're taking our annual trip to Apple Hill, celebrating birthdays, making tamales during the holidays, or simply spending a Sunday afternoon together, there is always someone eager to read a book, kick a soccer ball, build with blocks, or get down on the floor to play. Frankie has shown us firsthand what it means for a child to be surrounded by an entire village of people who love and support her. Our adoption journey has been embraced wholeheartedly from the very beginning. Watching our family love Frankie so completely has reinforced what we already knew: family is built through love, commitment, and showing up for one another. They cannot wait to welcome another child with that same unconditional love, encouragement, and sense of belonging.

Our House and Neighborhood

Home Sweet Home

California is home for our family, and we feel incredibly grateful for the community we've built here. We live in a quiet, tree-lined neighborhood where it's common to see families walking together, children riding bikes, and neighbors chatting in their front yards. Several families on our street have young children, and we've loved watching Frankie begin to make neighborhood friends. Throughout the year, our community comes alive with farmers markets, outdoor concerts, holiday celebrations, and family-friendly festivals. We also have beautiful parks, playgrounds, libraries, and walking trails nearby. One of the things we love most is that we have two elementary schools within walking distance, including one with a bilingual program. Education has always been important to us, and we're excited our children will have wonderful opportunities so close to home.

Our home has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and an open, welcoming layout filled with natural light. Plants are everywhere; they fill our front porch with colorful flower pots, brighten nearly every room inside, and continue into our backyard, where we've built raised planter boxes for growing fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers together. We love spending time outside gardening, grilling, roasting marshmallows around the fire pit, and watching Frankie explore and play. Inside, our living room is where we read stories, listen to music from our vinyl collection, play board games, and unwind together. We hope our home is the kind of place where our children and their friends always feel welcome, surrounded by love, laughter, curiosity, and a true sense of belonging.

From Us to You

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to share our family with you. We know this is an incredibly personal journey, and we are truly honored that you have taken the time to get to know us. Finding the right words isn't easy because there simply aren't enough to express the respect we have for you or the gratitude we feel that you're taking this time to learn about our family. We don't know your story, what brought you to this moment, or the emotions you may be carrying today. What we do know is that every family you've considered reflects how deeply you love your child and how thoughtfully you're considering their future. We hope this letter helps you see not just what our lives look like, but who we are at our core and the kind of parents we strive to be every single day.

We've been together for 16 years and have been happily married for the past 7. Our story actually began much earlier. We met in elementary school and grew up together before reconnecting years later as adults. That childhood friendship became the foundation for the life we've built together, and looking back, it feels like life was quietly bringing us back to each other all along. The greatest joy in our lives today is being parents to our daughter, Frankie. She reminds us every day that family isn't defined by how it begins, but by the love, commitment, and memories you build together. She's taught us that the smallest moments often become the biggest ones. Bedtime stories, dancing in the kitchen, trips to the zoo, and hearing her laugh are the moments we treasure most. Becoming parents has shown us that love isn't measured in grand gestures, but in showing up every day with patience, encouragement, and unconditional support.

If you choose us, your child will grow up in a home where they are loved exactly as they are. We want them to feel safe to be curious, ask questions, make mistakes, discover what makes them unique, and know they will always have two parents cheering them on. Our role isn't to decide who they'll become, but to help them discover who they already are while giving them every opportunity to pursue the life that brings them happiness. One of the greatest gifts we can offer is the community that surrounds us. Our families live nearby and are deeply involved in our lives. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and lifelong friends aren't just people we see on holidays, they're part of our everyday lives. Whether it's family dinners, birthday celebrations, holiday traditions, or spontaneous weekend visits, your child will grow up surrounded by people who will celebrate every milestone, offer encouragement, and remind them just how loved they are. One thing that is especially important to us is that your child will always know their story. Our daughter, Frankie, also joined our family through adoption, and that experience has strengthened our belief that adoption should always be spoken about with honesty, gratitude, and love. It won't be one conversation; it will simply be part of your child's story from the very beginning. They will grow up knowing how deeply they were loved by you and how much courage it took to make the decisions you made. We will always honor that part of their story because it will always be part of who they are.

We also want you to know that we will honor the relationship you'd like to have moving forward. We are committed to sending letters and pictures so you can watch your child grow. If you're comfortable with additional contact through emails, phone calls, or future visits, we're open to building that relationship together. We believe every adoption is unique, and we're committed to doing what's in your child's best interest while respecting the role you hope to have in their life. We know a letter can never fully capture who we are, just as we know we can never fully understand the weight of the decision you're facing. But if there is one promise we hope you take away from these words, it's this: your child will grow up knowing they are deeply loved. They will know where they came from, that your decision was made out of love, and that they have an entire family who feels incredibly fortunate to walk beside them through every stage of life.

Thank you again for giving us the opportunity to share our family with you. We know this is an incredibly personal journey, and we're deeply grateful that you've taken the time to get to know us.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Jason & Kendy
